This is one extraordinary boat - our version of a hybrid. It combines the beauty and grace of a traditional Runabout with the excitement of our Sport boats. With it's traditional lines and contours, it is reminiscent of the great Hacker Runabouts of the 1930's, yet the Mediterranean transom design and swim platform has a bit of an European flair. The design makes for easy boarding in and out for swimming, water skiing or tubing.

26 STERLING RUNABOUT

The 2010 26 Sterling--the first new Hacker runabout design in a generation. The goal was to design and build a shapely boat based on the flamboyance of a 1940s runabout. The 1940s marked stylized runabouts with brighter colors, striking barrel-back tumblehomes, wider beams, rounded sides and art deco touches. The Sterling model is named in honor of the Sterling Engine Company of Buffalo, NY. Sterling engines powered many of John Hacker's early runabouts. The Sterling now joins the family of timeless Hacker-Crafts.
