Hacker-Craft opens new production facility in Upstate New York

April 15, 2010

Hacker-Craft has built a new 32,000 square foot production facility in Ticonderoga, New York.

The new facility will centralize all manufacturing elements for the luxury motorboats under one roof. 12 new employees were hired for the new location, bringing the total work force to 46 at five locations. 16 boats are currently in production.

The boats were previously manufactured at the company’s Silver Bay location on Lake George. The Silver Bay site now operates as a full service boat yard.

Robert Lynn Wagemann, President and CEO said, “Our former facility, housed in several buildings, was not efficient enough. Our new facility makes it easier for us to build boats with the extraordinary craftsmanship that defines every Hacker. We’re proud of this expansion to our company, and I invite all owners of Hacker-Crafts to visit the state of the art facility.”

Hacker-Craft also has a facility for restoring and repairing boats in downtown Ticonderoga and storage facilities for 240 boats in Hague, NY.
